About the wine
The winemaker from the Spanish winery Amézola de la Mora absolutely masters his craft. Style and finesse are the characteristics of this red wine, which originates in the beautiful and fertile landscape of the Upper Ebro. With the present Tempranillo 2010 — Rioja Reserva, nuances and accents are redefined. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This tempranillo is very good to serve with polenta or red meat.

Tasting note
That stays in the memory: Its deep ruby red gives every occasion a special touch. The playful aromas of black cherry, chocolate and cooked blackberry express a lot of finesse with a very special structure. Afterwards, the refreshing nuances of prune, clove and marmalade reveal their own character. With subdued, pleasantly developed tannins, a strong body and present acidity, this fruity red wine shows its flawless structure.
Culinary recommendation
Our recommendation: The red wine tastes best at a slightly chilled 16°-18°C. The following period is the ideal enjoyment phase for this wine: 4-8 years after the harvest. Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Goes great with pizza, lasagna and polenta.
Vinification
A few words about vinification: Each grape variety is harvested at its optimum degree of ripeness, fermented and then left on the skins for a long time to extract as many aromas and tannins as possible. After careful pressing, the wine is left to mature for 28 months in 65% American and 35% French barriques and then, after bottling, is kept in the cellars of the bodega for a further 18 months.
