About the wine
When harvested, the grapes are collected in small 15 kg boxes and then picked on the selection table. Luis Alegre allows the grapes with their skins to ferment and macerate for at least 20 days in narrow-capacity (7000 kg) stainless steel containers. From there, the liquid is transferred unfiltered into carefully selected barrels made from the finest French, European and American oak and white oak wood. After 14 months of aging in wooden barrels, the wine is bottled, slightly filtered and, after further storage of 6 - 8 months, is delivered to the consumer in optimal condition for consumption.
