Tasting note
This Riesling is invigorating fresh with typical aromas of grapefruit, yellow peach, pomegranate and wild herbs. On the palate, the tasty, elegant acidity, lots of melting, a certain saltiness and tremendous minerality impresses. An unmistakable and easy-to-drink unique item, with great aging potential. Pure Riesling!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with light Far Eastern dishes, tuna, sushi, sashimi, asparagus, white poultry, veal
Vinification
The Riesling grapes come from Binger Scharlachberg, one of the largest Riesling sites in Germany. The interpretation of this quartzite Riesling is a particular challenge for the Runkel brothers. The soil conditions, strict yield limits, grape selection and the long aroma-promoting fermentation period make this wine so wonderfully intense and minerally powerful.
