About the wine
Very cool location facing east and surrounded by the Palatinate Forest. The vines take root in grey limestone, which is only covered by 30 cm of soil cover. The tough conditions Only the lowest yields are possible for the vines, resulting in very aromatic Grapes from which cool and precise Rieslings are made.

Tasting note

Vinification
The grapes come from the cool, east-facing Dörrenbacher Springberg vineyard, which is surrounded by the Palatinate Forest. The vines are rooted deep in gray limestone, which is only covered by a thin layer of soil. These conditions result in low yields but highly concentrated, aromatic grapes. After careful handpicking, gentle processing takes place. The fermentation is spontaneous and the aging takes place in traditional casks to preserve the freshness and minerality of the wine.
