About the wine
Weingut Dr. Loosen has been family-owned for over 200 years. When Ernst Loosen took over the winery in 1988, he quickly realized that he had the opportunity to produce unique and large Rieslings with the estate's roots, which are between 60 and 100 years old and are located in the most famous vineyards on the Moselle. Ernst Loosen is convinced that great wines come from great passion. We want to produce wines that tempt you to enjoy, that are concentrated and complex and that reflect their origin in an unmistakable way.

Tasting note
Intense, concentrated and seductive nose with aromas of honey, exotic fruits, candied citrus, ginger, botrytis and Christmas spices. Sweet on the palate, creamy with juicy acidity. There is a lot of concentration and abundance — yet the Beerenauslese looks dance-like and delicate with a very long finish.

Flaschenpöstler-Tipp: Riesling Beerenauslese passt ideal zu Ente, indischer Küche und Pilzen.
Vinification
Instead of extensive chemical fertilization, only small amounts of biological fertilizers are used. Above all, however, they rely on gentle cellar technology so that the wines can develop their grand class in peace and without a lot of technical frills. Where possible, fermentation is carried out spontaneously. Long aging on fine yeast.
