About the wine
Marjan Simčič is one of the top producers from Slovenia. Now in the fifth generation, he runs this winery together with his wife Valerija. The winery is located in the mountains of the Brda region (Brda can be translated as mountain). Although the winery is located in Slovenia, it is just 10 meters from the Italian border. As a result, half of the 18 hectares of vineyards are in the Italian wine region of Collio. In the vineyard and in the cellar, work is carried out according to biodynamic principles. The winery produces just 90,000 bottles from its 18 hectares. Marjan Simčič's wines can be regarded as a rarity.

Tasting note
Ribolla is the region's classic autochthonous grape variety and has a tradition of almost 800 years in this region. Always golden yellow and intense in color, we have aromas of ripe lemon, some yogurt and cedarwood on the nose. The mouthfeel is round and very complex with reduced fruit and great flavors of yeast and toast. The acidity is very well integrated and helps the whole wine to have wonderful accessibility.
