About the wine
A wine from the limited “Bruno Jeggli selection”. A special gourmet cuvée, the result of a very trusting and personal collaboration with 4 of our top winemakers. The boutique winery Springfontein is located in the nature reserve of Walker Bay, Burgundy in South Africa. Born from a spontaneous situation, the Red of Sopiensklip is a full-bodied, elegant palate, always pressed with a portion of pinotage grapes, which make this wine so unique. Just like working with Jen and her winemaker Tariro right from the start!

Tasting note
The playful aromas of fruit compote, spices and tobacco express a lot of complexity with a very individual structure. Afterwards, the refreshing nuances of black cherry, black plum and black pepper reveal their own character. A strong body and dominant acidity result in the fruity red wine, which shows a lot of character and class, pleasantly with fine tannins in the mouth.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with red meat, beef, game poultry such as partridge, grill and Asian dishes.

Handpicked, aged for 18 - 22 months in used French barriques
