About the product
Quitte, the Upper Austrian Ronda variety at Rochelt, is delivered immediately after harvesting and processed fresh. First, the bitter hairs of the fruit are grated away, then the Quitte n are mashed in. After the natural fermentation process is complete, the mash is carefully distilled twice. The core extracted through the distilling process — the middle run of the distillate — is then aged in open glass balloons for 6 years. This refines the texture and removes all the aromatic nuances from the distillate. After the aging phase, the brandy is bottled pure and unfiltered.
Tasting note
Complex on the nose and typical of fruit. Clear, fresh fruit scents, with multi-faceted and consistently compact scents, accompanied by warm, smoky and aged notes. On the palate, an aromatic mix of spices with Asian notes. Compact, strong body Very nice balance. Persistent spicy texture on the finish, wonderful length. World-class!
