About the wine
Veronica Ortega is one of those special people who go their way unwavering and with a lot of passion, who know what they want and who actually achieve it. After years of apprenticeship with winemaker stars such as Alvaro Palacios or wineries such as Romanée-Conti, she founded her own winery in 2010 in Bierzo in northeast Spain and the hearts of wine lovers and critics are already flying to her. The wines are of unparalleled freshness and refinement and aromatic depth. Character wines that are rarely found.

Tasting note
Cobrana is a small town near Congosto in Bierzo. The vines are located 750 meters above sea level on a soil of blue slate and red clay. In this area, the vines ripen later, with a fresh profile. A wine with a light texture, shiny garnet red color with aromas of strawberries, raspberries and light balsamic notes.
Culinary recommendation
Flaschenpost team tip: Goes well with risotto, meat dishes with dark sauce and vegetables and pizza.
Vinification
Selective reading by hand. Spontaneous fermentation of whole grapes in 5,000l open wooden barrels. The white and red grape varieties were fermented together with a long maceration. The wine is then aged for 12 months in amphoras and wooden barrels.
