About the wine
Quinta do Paral continued its story again when entrepreneur Dieter Morszeck purchased 85 hectares of land in Alentejo in 2017. In collaboration with oenologist Luís Morgado Leão, the estate was redesigned and focused on ecological sustainability and respect for the culture and tradition of Alentejo. Maintaining wine culture in Alentejo and also in Vidigueira is what the Quinta do Paral project is drives. Unique wines and excellent olive oils are produced here. Quinta do Paral is a family business that tries to bring traditional winemaking and the soul of the region closer to the world with every bottle produced.

Tasting note
Rich and complex aroma with a combination of ripe wild berries, black pepper, soft smoky notes and aromatic herbs. This wine is accompanied by full-bodied, well-embedded and robust tannins. These are paired with rich, acidic freshness and result in a strong and elegant finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with açorda de porco, a hearty pork bread stew, or grilled lamb chops, which underline the spicy and fruity notes of the wine. Grande Reserva also develops its full potential with aged hard cheese or game dishes.
Vinification
After harvesting grapes by hand, the berries are cored and fermented in a mechanical press at a controlled temperature (24-26°C) for 15 days. The wine is then aged for 26 months in new French oak barrels.
