About the wine
The Quarantanni Rosso Riserva was created on the occasion of the winery's 40th anniversary. It is made from the two grape varieties Nero d'Avola and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Nero d' Avola is considered the star among the autochthonous varieties of the south. The vineyards are located on medium to high slopes in the Salemi area. The long maceration (12 days) in stainless steel tanks results in complete extraction of the colorants, flavors and tannins. The wine is then aged in wood for about a year. The wine is also vinified vegan.

Tasting note
Color: Intense cherry red with distinctive purple reflections. Aromatics: Pure and dark berry, spicy aromas, cloves, intense vanilla scent, roasted, of fine wood, caramel and licorice, dried plums, finely earthy of forest soil. Body: Persistent, long start, present acidity, soft, velvety tannins, aromatic on the palate, sweet fruitiness, remains present for a long time. Quality: Skilfully assembled - an Amarone from the south.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with wild meat birds with dried plums, roasts with hearty sauces, mature cheese, meat platter.
