About the wine
Dieter Meier is not only able to gild everyday objects — as in his art campaign in Zurich in 2009 — but also Malbec. For his PURO Grape Selection, only the best grapes were harvested from top locations at the foot of the Andes. Powerful, elegant, with depth. One sip and you understand what the Yello hit “Desire” means.

Tasting note
Not a pure straight-lined fruit Malbec for once! Only the rich, dark-purple color remained the same. Almost surprisingly classic in the bouquet, complex, with cedarwood, graphite, including dark fruit, malt, black tea. Thick and dense on the palate, but with good freshness and a solid tannin structure, very balanced and not too sweet, barely showing the alcohol. The whole thing with a nice, sustainable length. A wine for lovers of mature plants with classic, French-influenced style. A rich wine!
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with braised chicken in red wine, veal steaks with beans and tomatoes or fried veal liver with apples, onions and balsamic sauce. It is also an ideal accompaniment to grilled beef, lamb chops with herbs or spicy vegetarian dishes such as stuffed peppers with mushrooms and wild rice. The combination of fruit, spice and fine wood notes also makes it an excellent partner for strong cheeses such as blue cheese or aged hard cheese.
Vinification
From the estate's best Malbec plot! Harvested by hand, fermented at controlled temperatures in steel and concrete tanks. Ageing in new and used French barriques. Free from animal products - vegan certified.
