About the wine
The Davaz family's parents' winery in Fläsch was not big enough to guarantee an income for the two sons, and so Johannes Davaz moved to the Poggio al Sole estate near Tavernelle, which was acquired in 1990. Trained in Wädenswil, he and his wife rebuilt the run-down property and let it shine in its former glory. The efforts have paid off. With their honest, straightforward and typical wines, Poggio al Sole is currently one of the absolute top companies in Chianti Classico.

Tasting note
In the bouquet, delicate raspberry scent and a hint of licorice, a fresh start on the palate and nice juiciness in the body, strawberries, tangerines and some rose aroma, elegantly flowing and fresh.
Culinary recommendation
Crispy chicken, salmon, perfect for an aperitif, simply a perfect summer wine
Vinification
Manual harvest at the beginning of September, immediate pressing of the whole grapes with stalks, fermentation at 16° C, no biological acid degradation, on the yeast until mid-February, bottling at the beginning of March
