About the wine
Blooming and fertile Tuscan landscapes give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Tenuta Le Colonne conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. Tasting note
In the glass, the wine is an intense ruby red. The nose reveals a complex bouquet with aromas of black cherry, plum, leather and licorice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured with silky tannins and lively freshness. The aftertaste is long-lasting with notes of licorice and cocoa.
Culinary recommendation
This red wine is ideal with grilled or braised meat, game dishes and medium-aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and traditionally vinified. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with natural yeasts in concrete tanks. The wine is then aged in large, untoasted oak barrels for around 12 months to develop complexity and structure.
