About the wine
The castle of Auvernier is one of the links between former and present size. As late as 1914, 400 bottles of Pinot Noir Château d'Auvernier from 1911 were emptied on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prussian Guard. The current owner of the castle, Thierry Grosjean, is proactive and cosmopolitan and his wines are also highly appreciated abroad.

Tasting note
Balance and elegance, its deep ruby red color and its vanilla and cassis aroma make it a great wine.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with poultry, but it develops its full strength with beef, lamb or game dishes.
Vinification
After malolactic fermentation, this Pinot Noir is aged in 220 liter oak barrels, where it ages for about 12 months.
