About the wine
With the special Porer Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC from 2016, you will positively surprise your guests. The winemaker from the Italian winery Alois Lageder masters this white wine with sensitivity and intuition in the blooming and picturesque landscape in South Tyrol.

Tasting note
Bright yellow with golden reflections. Flowery and fruity on the nose. Linden blossoms, blossom honey, some gooseberries and pears. Complex and well accentuated. Dry on the palate, with refreshing, harmonious acidity. Aromas of ripe yellow fruit. Juicy and mineral-structured. In the finale, carried by complexity and fine acidity.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a white wine risotto with fried scampi. But it also goes well with spicy hard cheese.
Vinification
Above the village of Margreid, this cru grows on rocky, sandy and heavily calcareous soil. The finished Porer wine is a cuvée of differently vinified wines. Depending on the vintage and nature of the grapes, Lageder uses three different vinification methods. On the one hand, the classic style with direct pressing. Further vinification with short peel and long contact with solid yeast. As a third type, through fermentation and maturation on the whole grape. The expansion takes around nine months. Lageder thus creates a complex, multi-layered cuvée from the Pinot Grigio grape variety.
