About the wine

Tasting note
Intense purple red with ruby reflections. Unadulterated and precise in the nose. Blackberries, cassis, elegant wood and sour cherries. Very juicy on the palate, with a strong, stimulating acidity. Shows fine tannins and good potential. Some spice, red berries, undergrowth and roasted aromas. Long and harmonious aftertaste.
Culinary recommendation
Wonderful with charcuterie, brasato and cheese.
Vinification
The Barbera grapes from the very calcareous “Pian Romualdo” vineyard in Monforte d'Alba are picked and pressed by hand and the must is fermented in steel tanks and in large wooden vats. The aging takes place for twelve months in 50 hl oak barrels or in two-year barriques. To refine, the wine ages in the bottle for a further four months.
