Tasting note
In the glass, the Pedrinate is intense ruby red with slight purple reflections. On the nose, elegant aromas of ripe cherries, blackberries and red plums develop, complemented by spicy notes of pepper, tobacco and a touch of toasted wood. On the palate, the wine appears round, balanced and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins, fine freshness and a pleasantly long, fruity-spicy finish.
Culinary recommendation
Ideal with meat dishes such as beef, veal or lamb, hearty pasta dishes or medium-aged cheese.
Vinification
The hand-picked Merlot grapes come from the municipality of Pedrinate in Mendrisiotto. Fermentation is temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for several months to promote structure and aromatic depth.
