Tasting note
In addition to fresh citrus notes, which are accompanied by a pinch of dried herbs, the 2021 O Reserve focuses on distinctive minerality. The fresh acidity harmonizes perfectly with the creamy texture of Riesling and underlines its elegant and beautifully balanced character. An absolute top wine from Orbel!
Vinification
With the outstanding 2021 vintage, the winery has decided to leave the barrels, which are very special, lying down and not to fill them. Two years after the harvest, a perfect Riesling has developed from these barrels, which represents a small revolution - St. Antony's first Riesling Reserve! The Riesling was fermented spontaneously, as you would expect from the winery, and then aged in batches and double barrels.
