Tasting note
This small vineyard in Nuits-St-Georges is very special! While it was still allowed to grow other grape varieties in classified vineyards until 1984, this has only been reserved for Chardonnay ever since. Since the site was planted before 1984, we find one of the very rare single-varietal Weissburgunder here. The wine is vinified like a Chardonnay and even in the nose we notice the typical flint reduction for which Chardonnay from Burgundy is known. On the palate, an amazing structure and length with lots of salt and zest. This wine still has its best years ahead of it. Buy and put away.
Vinification
Fermented with our own yeasts. 20 months in demi-muid wooden barrels.
