Tasting note
Spätburgunder — or Pinot Noir as it is called in France — is the most common grape variety on Lake Constance. The comparatively high and exposed locations, which are very warm in summers and rather cool in autumn and winter, offer great conditions for this grape variety, which can create so much fascination. The aging is very classic in a mix of 80% used and 20% new barriques. In these, the wine is allowed to develop for one year and is then bottled just before the next harvest.
