About the wine
When Lake Constance last released some land almost 1000 years ago, this unique location was created right on the lake. It is a great and fertile soil that consists of a special silica/lime layer, which stores water but also guarantees great ventilation of the soil. Equally decisive for this unique microclimate is the steady wind, which so close to the lake has a great influence on ripeness and allows our vines to dry quickly again even when there is a lot of rainfall, which promotes natural expansion.

Tasting note
The white Burgundy vine grows wonderfully on the easternmost shore of the German Lake Constance. Millions of years ago, the primeval sea left behind a perfect terroir of shell limestone and alluvial soils. The warm summers and cool winters offer ideal conditions for a good structure with refreshing acidity and aging in used wooden barrels on full yeast gives the wine the finishing touch.
