With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Cantina Borgogno masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile countryside of Piedmont. Tasting note
A rich garnet red with coppery reflections. The aromatic bouquet is intense and engaging, with aromas of cherries, rose petals, cedars, leather and Aenis. The body is very full-bodied, yet very elegant with an impressive harmony between velvety-dense tannins and acid structure, surrounded by the elegant aromas of violets, rose petals, leather and undergrowth right up to the long finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with Mediterranean cuisine, lasagna, stews, fine cuts of meat.
Vinification
After handpicking the Nebbiolo grapes, spontaneous fermentation takes place in cement containers for around 15 days at a temperature of 22 to 28°C. Light pressing and aging for just over 2 years in large Slavonian oak barrels.
