About the wine
The winemaker from the French winery Domaine Cassagne et Vitailles grows this wine in the countryside. With this dominant red wine 2017 — Nimalaya Vieux Carignan, the term taste takes on a new meaning. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This carignan is excellent with game dishes or red meat.

Tasting note
In the glass, the wine is deep garnet red. The nose reveals complex aromas of ripe red fruits, mocha, spices and a touch of fine wood. On the palate, it is powerful and structured with fine tannins and a remarkable balance. The aftertaste is long and intense.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with grilled meat, game dishes, lamb and aged cheese.
Vinification
The grapes are picked by hand and 50% fermented as whole grapes. 80% of the aging takes place in stainless steel tanks and 20% in used Demi-Muids, without the use of new oak. This method preserves the freshness and authenticity of the wine.
