Tasting note
The debut vintage of this elegant red wine. The 20-60-year-old vines grow on the three most important soils in Neckenmarkt: Muschelkalk, Orthogneis and Shale. Fermented in open wooden vats, the maturation then took place in 1200 liter pieces of local oak barrels for 16 months. As usual with Kolfok, the wine was bottled unembellished and unfiltered. A dense but not opulent Blaufränkisch with a balsamic nose that is reminiscent of licorice, pepper and herbs. Plenty of sour cherries and plums in scent and taste, cool, juicy and fresh with a delicious long taste.

Goes well with grilled meat, lamb, game dishes or spicy cheese.
