About the wine
Blooming and picturesque landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Bruno Giacosa conjures up this red wine with refinement and experience. With the biting red wine 2015 — Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC Valmaggiore, nuances and accents are redefined. Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This nebbiolo is very good to serve with prosciutto or burrata.

Tasting note
Bright ruby red. An extremely delicate, elegant nose, smells of raspberries, almonds and rose hips. The palate is full-bodied and juicy in texture, with elegant spices and fine roasted aromas. The tannins are present but fine-grained. The finale is very long and harmonious.
Culinary recommendation
In Piemonte, it is popular with roast pork but also agnolotti with meat filling.
Vinification
The Nebbiolo grapes come from the Valmaggiore di Vezza vineyard in the municipality of Alba. After harvesting and squeezing the grapes, the mash is fermented in steel tanks. The young wine is aged in medium-sized wooden barrels for twelve months. A six-month bottle aging completes the vinification.
