Nat Cool Douro Rosé - Dirk Niepoort

The Nat Cool Rosé is a cuvée made from wines that have been fermented very slowly. It took them up to 3 years to complete the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. This long process results in slow oxidation, which gives the wines great aromatic complexity and meant that it was possible to dispense with the addition of sulfur. Thanks to the long aging period in contact with the yeast, the Nat Cool Rosé also acquired a wonderfully creamy texture. On the nose, notes of violet, red berries and rhubarb, as well as nutty aromas. On the palate, Nat Cool is structured and linear with a long and lively finish.
