About the wine
Vocation and passion: fundamental aspects for Cascina Fonda. Vocation for the area and the cultivation of grapes since 1963, the year in which Secondino Barbero founded the company using his experience in the wine sector. The sons Massimo and Marco have been responsible for the production of Moscato since 1988. A sweet passion that allows Cascina Fonda to focus primarily on Moscato, a wine from the hills between Mango and Neive. From 1995 to 2000, the new winery was rebuilt according to modern standards, making it possible to make high-quality wine in relation to and out of respect for Moscato, a young and fresh wine.

Tasting note
Light straw yellow with golden reflections. Intense and aromatic, characterized by notes of fresh fruit such as peach, apricot and citrus fruits, with delicate floral nuances of acacia and orange blossom. Sweet, soft and harmonious, with a balanced freshness that supports the natural sweetness of Moscato. On the palate, it is velvety, with a persistent aftertaste of honey and exotic fruits, accompanied by a slight perlage that makes it pleasantly sparkling.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fruity desserts, puff pastry, almond tarts and fruit cakes. It also goes well with cream dishes such as tiramisu, panna cotta and zabaione and offers a freshness that balances out the sweetness of the desserts.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified using the traditional method, with slow fermentation in an autoclave to preserve the natural sweetness and fine perlage. After fermentation, the wine ages briefly in steel tanks to preserve the primary aromas of Moscato.
