About the wine
Created by Jacopo Biondi Santi in Castello di Montepò, this Morellino di Scansano is a pure and dynamic interpretation of Sangiovese Grosso “BBS11,” the exclusive clone preserved by the Biondi Santi family, complemented by a small portion of Cabernet Sauvignon for added structure. Grown on Galestro soils in the heart of Maremma and aged in barriques, it combines freshness, depth and elegance in authentic Tuscan style.

Tasting note
It is a wine with a bright ruby red color, whose shades are more purple. On the palate, it is lively, smooth and balanced, with juicy red fruits, silky tannins and a long, spicy finish. More than a traditional Morellino, it reflects both the heritage of the Biondi Santi family and the unique character of the Tuscan coast. The mouth is soft and velvety with an extremely long finish. Overall, it is a very elegant wine with excellent longevity potential: from 15 to 20 years.
Culinary recommendation
Due to its properties, this wine is ideal in combination with red meat, which is particularly cooked on the grill or on the grill, and important roasts.
