About the wine
The blooming and fertile landscapes of Piedmont give us these grapes, from which the winemaker from the Italian winery Braida / Giacomo Bologna conjures up this red wine with refinement and sensitivity. With the fine Montebruna Barbera d'Asti DOC from 2015, you will positively surprise your guests.

Tasting note
Bright purple with purple reflections. It appears open and opulent in the nose, almost like a small “Bricco della Bigotta”. Blackberries, spices, ripe cherries, fine roasted aromas and almonds. Amazingly complex on the palate, balanced, perfectly integrated acidity, delicate tannins, very elegant with a medium-length finish.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with saltimbocca with saffron risotto.
Vinification
The grapes for this vineyard wine come from the new “Montebruna” vineyard, with an ideal south-western orientation. After harvesting by hand and gently squeezing the grapes, the mash is fermented in steel tanks. The young wine ages for one year in large oak barrels of 20 to 55 hl, followed by a three-month bottle aging.
