Tasting note
Monte Grande shows an impressive variety of flavors. Ripe exotic fruits and yellow citrus fruits can be seen on the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh with a long finish accompanied by sweet almond and vanilla notes. The acid is well integrated and provides vivacity. The wine has excellent aging potential.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with shellfish and fish dishes such as bluefin tuna or sea bass. It is also good with quiche, seafood risotto and roasts. These combinations accentuate the fine aromas of the wine and create a harmonious taste experience.
Vinification
The grapes for Monte Grande are grown in Monteforte d'Alpone. The Trebbiano di Soave grapes are harvested in mid-September. The Garganega grapes are cut on the first full moon in September and dried on the vine for a month before being harvested in mid-October. The grapes are gently destemmed and pressed, then fermented at 13°C in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged in large Allier oak barrels for 10 months, which gives it its special structure and maturity.
