About the wine

The story of Tenute Rubino is closely linked to the Rubino family, who have passionately promoted viticulture in Apulia since the 1980s. The winery was founded by visionary Tommaso Rubino, who recognized and revived the potential of the Salento region. Today, his son Luigi and his wife Romina continue to successfully run the company and combine tradition with modern winemaking. The winery is an example of the quality and innovative strength of Apulian viticulture. Puglia itself — surrounded by the Adriatic and Ionian Seas — is a country full of flavors, history and cultural diversity. Salento in particular, once “land between two seas”, with its rich past and unique conditions, shapes the character of Tenute Rubino wines. The grapes for Miraglio come from the Uggìo winery, which is located on the Salento Plateau at an altitude of 80-100 m, just 13 km from the Adriatic coast. The wine bears the name of the same name in the immediate vicinity of the winery. This terroir gives the wine its characteristic freshness and expressiveness.
