About the wine
This complex and full-bodied Merlot from southern France impresses with depth and length. The grapes come from the Nîmes region, the plains near Béziers and the eastern and western Aude Valley, where they ripen on gravelly soils in the valley and calcareous slopes. After a longer maceration period and a short carbonic acid maceration, some of the wine is aged in oak barrels for 6 to 9 months, which gives it additional structure and finesse.

Tasting note
This deep dark wine develops intense aromas of crushed black fruit, cooked fruit and dark jam, accompanied by smoky and spicy notes. On the palate, it is round, full-bodied and long-lasting, with ripe, supple tannins on the finish.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with grilled or braised meat, particularly beef, lamb or game. It is also an excellent choice with spicy stews, pasta with strong sauces and aged hard cheeses such as Comté or Manchego.
