About the wine
Ciù Ciù is now a large family business from the brands. Over the years, the winery in Piceno developed very well and so wonderful wines such as this Merlettaie Offida Pecorino could be conjured up. On a total of around 98 hectares, Ciù Ciù has cultivated its vineyards with varieties such as Montepulciano, Sangiovese and Pecorino. Ciù Ciù works in accordance with organic regulations with great care and in an environmentally friendly manner. With Merlettaie, Ciù Ciù has created a prime example of the autochthonous Pecorino grape variety.

Tasting note
In the glass, the merlettaie then appears straw yellow. The bouquet is intense. Notes of wild herbs, flowers and a touch of vanilla are revealed. On the palate, Merlettaie is fresh, full-bodied and long-lasting.
Culinary recommendation
It goes well with fish dishes, shellfish, chicken with medium-acid sauces such as tomatoes; also good with goat cheese, sheep cheese.
Vinification
The must is first decanted, then fermented in oak barrels and finally aged for six months.
