Meriggio Sauvignon Colli IGT 2024 - Fontodi

Giovanni Manetti's reds are world-famous: Flaccianello, Vigna del Sorbo and even his Chianti Classico are located in many well-kept cellars! Meriggio is an exotic in the Azienda Fontodi, “è per divertirmi” Manetti likes to say. In the middle of the land of great red wines, he produces some white Sauvignon, the Meriggio. It grows on a northwest-facing vineyard, which slows the vegetation and spares the grapes from the intense summer heat in Tuscany. These two factors are decisive for maintaining the racy freshness and mineral saltiness of a large Sauvignon. Giovanni Manetti only produces a few bottles of Meriggio, but it is certainly one of the most beautiful Tuscan white wines.
