About the wine
With experience and intuition, the winemaker from the Italian winery Antinori masters this red wine in the blooming and fertile Tuscan countryside. Tasting note
Intense ruby red with purple reflections. Concentrated, dark-berry bouquet, underpinned by extremely seductive nuances of roasted aromas such as coffee and dark chocolate. Highly expressive and full of character. Powerful, very dense aftertaste, round on the palate. Excellent and very precisely structured, with fine-grained tannins and lots of juiciness. The aromas of the nose are confirmed on the palate. Aromatically complex and very long-lasting finish. A great wine of the finest class.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with a tender piece of meat: That's all you need for a matarocchio.
Vinification
This rarity of pure Cabernet franc is harvested very selectively by hand from selected vineyards. After gently squeezing the grapes, the mash ferments in steel tanks and is then aged for 18 months in French barriques (Allier, Tronçais). The individual barriques are constantly monitored and only the contents of the most outstanding barrels are bottled. The young wine is then aged in the bottle for about a year.
