About the wine
The 2022 Masseto Toscana AOC captures Italian elegance and strength in every sip. Tasting note
The grapes, harvested by hand in 15 kg boxes, were carefully sorted by hand on a double sorting table before and after destemming and then gently pressed on. Six different plots were vinified separately. Fermentation took place in steel and wooden tanks, followed by 15-20 days of maceration at a temperature of between 25 and 30°C. Malolactic fermentation then took place in 100% new oak barrels. The various batches were aged separately during the first 12 months of maturation. The wine was then assembled and put back into the barrels for another year, i.e. a total of 24 months. It was approved for the market after twelve months of bottle aging.
