Tasting note
Our Riesling Silvaner impresses with a complex, expressive aroma that combines exotic notes of ripe mango and juicy peach with fresh lychee and pineapple. This lively fruit gives the bouquet a clear, inviting freshness and an elegant, finely balanced aroma. On the palate, it is juicy and harmonious, supported by lively, precise acidity. A fine grapefruit note provides freshness and excitement, while subtle, slightly tart notes give the wine additional structure. The result is a balanced combination of fruit, freshness and fine elegance. The long, fresh finish underlines the clarity and finesse of this wine and makes it a distinctive Riesling Silvaner that combines expression and drinking pleasure in a stylish way.
Culinary recommendation
Enjoy Salis Riesling Silvaner as a refreshing accompaniment to an aperitif, where it is particularly convincing with its lively fruit and clear structure. With light starters — such as small puff pastry, fresh salads, mild cream cheeses or fine vegetable dishes such as asparagus, zucchini — it develops its juicy aroma and ensures a harmonious interplay.
Vinification
The grapes are picked selectively by hand and gently destemmed in the cellar and gently pressed. The must is clarified naturally and then fermented in stainless steel tanks at around 18°C, which precisely preserves the typical aroma of the variety. The young wines mature on fine lees for several months, which gives them additional complexity and structure. Gentle filtration and bottling in spring preserve freshness, clarity and expression.
