Lycaon Pinotage 2021 - Painted Wolf

Strong ruby red - impressively complex nose with notes of red berries and oriental spices. The palate also shows this combination of ripe berry fruit and spice, which is so typical of Pinotage. The wine impresses with its great concentration and its independent character, which is characterized by the special origin of the grapes. Even in the long finale, the top Pinotage from Painted Wolf impresses with harmony and balance, ripe tannins and refreshing acidity. The vineyard for this wine is located in the Breedekloof region at an altitude of 700-750 m above sea level and is therefore one of the highest locations for Pinotage on the Cape. Other producers have also pressed outstanding pinotages from grapes from this vineyard in the past.
