About the wine
The Loam impresses with fresh fruit aromas, fine spiciness and elegant minerality. Lively, balanced and harmonious on the palate — a versatile white wine that brings typical South Tyrolean finesse to the glass.
Tasting note
Pleasantly fruity fine, tart aromas of wild cherry and black currant, dark chocolate, fine herbal, slightly ethereal notes. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, hints of cedarwood, dried fruit and red berry aromas, with fine-grained tannin, salty minerals
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with roasts, stews and game dishes.
Vinification
After harvesting by hand, the grapes are delivered in small containers. Mash fermentation takes place in large wooden barrels at a controlled temperature (28°C) with regular must circulation in order to bring out the typical aromas more strongly and achieve intensive colouring. The aging takes place in barriques for 12 months and in large wooden barrels for 6 months. After subsequent bottling, the wine is stored in the bottle for at least a further 6 months
