About the wine
The Name of Squire” is an homage to the well-known “knight” by Michele Satta, whose student I am. But I made this decision not only out of gratitude, but rather out of conviction that has matured through experience. Sangiovese also has its own expression of great value in Bolgheri. The cool summers, the sharp changes in temperature, can produce grapes of remarkable finesse.” Fabio Motta

Tasting note
Distinctive cherry fruit, exotic fruit components. Powerful yet elegant on the palate with the typical structure and acidity of the variety.
Culinary recommendation
This Sangiovese from Bolgheri goes perfectly with hearty pasta dishes, Parmigiana di aubergines, fried or grilled meat.
Vinification
Some of the grapes are not stripped before vinification. The fermentation takes place in a 30 hl wooden vat, then the wine matures in used barriques for one year.
