Tasting note
In the glass, this orange wine shows a bright golden yellow. On the nose with intense aromas of quince, orange peel, fennel seeds and almonds. On the palate, with a fresh start and fine grip. A very successful introduction to the world of orange wines and an incredibly versatile accompaniment.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with vegetables, aged cheese, Mediterranean cuisine.
Vinification
The Llunari is an orange wine, i.e. a white wine that is produced like a red wine. The grapes are harvested by hand, completely destemmed and then crushed and placed in a cement tank. Cold maceration takes place there until alcoholic fermentation begins. In total, the must and the resulting wine remain in contact with the grape skins for 20 days until the mash is pressed. The wine is then transferred to 600-liter clay amphorae, where it is aged for 5 months.
