Tasting note
100% meunier from the oldest vines planted in 1975, the highest “fontinette sites”, where the soils have strong layers of fossil limestone. The base wine was aged in barriques for 11 months. Elegant nose with aromas of wild berries, apricots and blossom scents, finely framed with notes of roasted almonds, a touch of cinnamon and a delicate smoky pepper touch. On the palate, some plum, freshly picked blueberries, again radiating a wonderful elegance, yet showing a lot of depth and minerality.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fine fish dishes, such as fried loup de mer on parsnip puree, or Müllerin style sole fillet, but also with fine crustaceans and poultry.
