About the wine
After the First World War, the owner of this wonderful winery renamed it “Lanzerac” in honor of the famous French general Lanrezac. The war veteran was known for his aggressive stance and determination during the Battle of Aisne-Marne in 1918, which marked the start of a series of offensives with which the Allies finally won the war. The wine name “Le Général” is also derived from this general.

Goes well with red meat, hearty dishes, beef, game poultry, lamb carrée and duck breast, stew, ragout.
Vinification
Manual harvest, selection of grapes in the vineyard and again in the wine cellar, pressing in classic Bordeaux mania: fermentation in open containers, separate aging for 20 months in oak barrels, 30% first use, 70% second use, blending of the 4 varieties, gentle filtration and bottling
