About the wine
Ca'del Baio is an old family business owned by the Grasso family. It was founded in 1870. It is now run by Giulio and Luciana and their three daughters Valentina, Paola and Federico. The total of 28 hectares of vineyards are located in the municipalities of Treiso and Barbaresco. In 2016, Ca'del Baio was named the best winemaker of the year by the renowned wine guide “Gambero Rosso” (Miglior Viticoltore dell'anno).

Tasting note
A Chardonnay with easy aging in barriques. The wine has a very good balance between fruit and wood. On the nose, there are notes of pear, honey and butter. On the palate, it is fruity-fresh with pleasant minerality.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with hearty, fine fish dishes, as well as white meats such as veal or chicken. Also suitable for strong soft cheese.
Vinification
Harvest in mid-September. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Partial aging in barriques.
