L'Orage Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs AC 2023 - Moussé Fils

2021 was not an easy wine year. Extremely difficult weather conditions throughout most of the year resulted in major crop failures, including for Cédric Moussé. A full 85% of Chardonnay was destroyed, meaning that the hope of a Blanc de Blancs from this year seemed hopeless. But thanks to the help and support of eleven friendly winemakers, who each contributed grapes from one of their vineyards, this unique cuvée was finally achieved. The nose is wonderful Chardonnay with aromas of white peaches, honeydew melons and citrus fruits, plus a bit of crunchy apple, underpinned with floral spicy notes and a delicate mineral touch. On the palate, with juicy fruit, delicate texture, nice freshness and good draft.
