About the wine
The Klet Brda winery is located in Dobrovo and has always been part of Dobrovo Castle. However, it was only at the beginning of the 20th century that a targeted structure of the cellar with classification and modern production facilities was established. In 2018, Klet Brda renovated the wine cellar. The wines from Klet Brda are not only popular in Slovenia, but are appreciated in 28 countries around the world. The special thing about Klet Brda is that it is a cooperative consisting of 400 small winegrowing families.

Tasting note
Distinctive minerality, citrus and thyme. Delicate and sweet tannins with a long, fresh and persistent aftertaste, rounded off with roasted almonds. Grapes are fermented with natural yeast in cement barrels, unfiltered and bottled without sulfites. It's a perfect orange wine to round off an evening with friends.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with spiced oven-baked fish and chicken, Asian dishes, excellent with roasted chestnuts and vegetables.
Vinification
The wine was mashed for a year. Each variety was macerated separately, the Ribolla Gialla in oak barrels and the Malvasia and Sauvignonasse in stainless steel barrels. Compared to our white wines, Krasno Orange is a richer and more complex wine with more structure. It has a different aroma profile and more tannins, which is why it also has a very long shelf life. It can be stored for between 5 and 10 years and we expect it to become softer and more harmonious over time.
