Tasting note
The initial aromas of red berries result in a complex profile of sour cherry, flint and leather, which is rounded off on the middle palate to a plum-like fullness and ends with soft, velvety tannins.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with fried lamb or a braised lamb stew with curry.
Vinification
The various vine blocks were vinfied separately and fermented in open stainless steel tanks with regular tapping (4-5 times a day). This was followed by an extended maceration period and the wine was then transferred into a combination of French oak barrels of the first, second and third use. It was expanded there for 20 months.
