Easter 2019 is just around the corner! Make the most of it with this powerful white wine 2017 — Just White Chardonnay Special Edition DAC Weinviertel! You can describe the landscape in Lower Austria with such words as mountainous or hilly. However, the Austrian winery Gruber Röschitz is trying to express the beauty of its homeland with this white wine. We think he succeeded! Flaschenpöstler culinary tip: This Chardonnay is excellent to serve with truffles or goat cheese.

Tasting note
Just Chardonnay impresses with a bright golden yellow. On the nose, it is intensely yellow-fruity with notes of exotic fruits, slight hints of caramel and a subtle oak wood note. The start on the palate is intense and fruity and turns into a juicy palate flow with lots of melting and extract, a subtle woody note and a lively fruity acidity. A harmonious Chardonnay with lots of power and pleasant freshness.

Vinification
After a period of maceration, the wine was fermented in large wood and then aged partly in steel tanks and partly in a new 500-liter French oak barrel for about 12 months. This was followed by assembly and further bottle storage.
