Tasting note
The Pinot Noir grapes for this Blanc de Noirs come from the eponymous individual vineyard of the 1er Cru municipality of Vandières. The base wine was aged in used barriques. The nose features aromas of red berries, citrus fruits, juicy ripe pears and cherries, plus a touch of tarte tatin and finely spicy notes of roasted nuts. Inviting on the palate, again showing juicy, fresh fruit, with nice pressure and delicately tart mineral notes in the finale.
Culinary recommendation
Goes well with an aperitif with bacon cheesecake or vegetable quiche, but also great with more hearty fish dishes, such as grilled monkfish on Mediterranean vegetables or flamed mackerel with pickled radish.
